Introduction

The Admiral's Suite is a fabulous re-furbished spacious luxury apartment in a fabulous Grade II listed 18th Century townhouse in one of Devon's undiscovered idyllic seaside villages. The Admiral's Suite is ranged over three floors with two large bedrooms and with lovely fine art photography on the walls throughout, as well as enjoying a secluded patio terrace garden. Just two doors way is the amazing 'Ode' Michelin starred Restaurant, which you would not want to miss.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Overlooking the passers by, the master bedroom will nestle your senses in Georgian splendour and calm. Up the narrow winding Dickensian stairs with hints of Oliver Twist, is the attic bedroom called the Crows' Nest. Overlooking the rooftops and among the seagulls, what better way to end the day exhausted from a sunny play on the beach?
The master bathroom is a work of art. Two lovely round ceramic handbasins perched on a large chunk of recycled ship's timbers in front of the largest mirror. The freestanding bath is the centrepiece made for luxuriating in steamy splendour. Across the vast space is the shower enclosure with fixed monsoon shower and hand held shower as well. And tucked discreetly around the corner is the loo with soft close lids.

Outside

Shaldon in South Devon is a magical holiday destination, promising every visitor a chance to escape. Wander down the old fishing village streets, the sunlight splashing golden splinters of summer all along the beach up to the cliffs and rock pools. Catch the oldest ferry in England for the short hop across to Teignmouth and laze on the pier, slurping ice cream and watching the surfers ride the waves.

For Relaxation

I'm sure we all want to be beside the seaside. And there are not many places that tick all the boxes for a relaxing escape that really is right next to the sea. Shaldon is blessed with centuries of seafaring history, pubs that have welcomed the salty sea-dogs are now cosy nooks for you and your friends to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Restaurants, bars and galleris are aplenty as you wander along the shore with the waves gently lapping at your feet. And if you like to beachcombe, each new tide will deliver all sorts of treats for those with sharp eyes for gathering the harvest. Across the river into teignmouth will increase the tempo slightly, with cinema, theatre, shopping and even more beaches. If you are detemined not to relax, then boat hire, scuba diving, wind surfing, and all manner of sea related fun is right there for the taking.

Practicalities

Guests can drop luggage outside, the carpark is an easy three minute walk away. This luxury apartment is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hob and oven.

Home-Cooked

Whether cooking up the catch of the day or enjoying an indoor feast with the patter of rain on the window, the dramatic backdrop will set the scene for unforgettable meal times.

Eating Out

Michelin Starred Ode Restaurant is serving up outstanding creative food with a prime position in the village. After an afternoon's walk across the beach you can't beat a hot paper parcel of fish and chips. Great Pub grub can be found at the London Inn, just across the bowling green.
