On the ground floor, the master and second bedroom are both in their original style. Original fireplaces and architecture pervade the whole house. Downstairs, past the games room with table tennis, is the third bedroom tucked away for those needing to really chill.

The entrance is through the private gates into the car park where there is parking for two cars. To the front of the property is a large sloping private garden overlooking the sea.

Maidencombe in South Devon is a magical holiday destination, promising every visitor a chance to escape. Wander down the old streets, the sunlight splashing golden splinters of summer all along the beach up to the cliffs and rock pools. Catch the beach bar in the bay, slurping ice cream and watching the surfers ride the waves.

For Relaxation

I'm sure we all want to be beside the seaside. And there are not many places that tick all the boxes for a relaxing escape that really is right next to the sea. Maidencombe is blessed with centuries of smuggling history, the pub that has welcomed the salty sea-dogs are now cosy nooks for you and your friends to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Down on the beach, the beach bar is serving bacon rolls, beer and coffee. Wander along the shore with the waves gently lapping at your feet. And if you like to beachcombe, each new tide will deliver all sorts of treats for those with sharp eyes for gathering the harvest. A short drive down the road into Torquay will increase the tempo slightly, with cinema, theatre, shopping and even more beaches. If you are detemined not to relax, then boat hire, scuba diving, wind surfing, and all manner of sea related fun is right there for the taking.

Drop the car off into the carpark right outside the house. This luxury house is well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hob and oven. For coffee lovers, a Nespresso machine is waiting for you in the fabulous kitchen.

1920's Poirot with a modern twist. Soft greys and sudden reds, giving a sense of drama and warmth. Vintage beachy details, and nautical history offering a taste of the rich past.

A warm welcome
Nothing can take away from the drama of the view. Sailing ships gently cruising the blue horizon, while buzzards call from the treetops. Pull up a sunlounger and drink in the sights.

The new kitchen is the heart of the cottage, which makes cooking a dream. There's no place like Devon when it comes to clean seas, fertile land and passionate farmers, resulting in some of the freshest produce you'll find anywhere in the UK. Whether cooking up the catch of the day or enjoying an indoor feast with the patter of rain on the window, the dramatic backdrop will set the scene for unforgettable meal times.

Eating Out

A short walk down towards the beach, The Thatched Tavern is serving up outstanding creative food with a prime position in the village. After an afternoon's walk across the beach you can't beat a hot paper parcel of fish and chips.
